Culiacan (Mexico) -- 50th anniversary of Chapultepec School

On September 29, 2005, Chapultepec School celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. In commemoration of this event, a plaque was erected recalling with gratitude the group of couples who founded this pioneering institution in women’s education, under the inspiration of St. Josemaría Escrivá.

On November 11, Bishop Benjamin Jiménez of Culiacán officiated at a Mass of Thanksgiving in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. The Bishop warmly congratulated the school and expressed his wish that it continue producing abundant fruit for the Church and society.

Also in commemoration of the anniversary, an exposition was held at the Sinaloa Museum of Art entitled The Time Line, which presented photographs of the trajectory of the school from its beginnings up to the present. There was also an academic ceremony honoring those who began the school and a meeting with representatives from the 38 graduating classes (1500 students, in total).
