The norms of the Church (see Instruction Calendaria particularia, June 24, 1970) provide that each diocese or equivalent circumscription celebrates liturgically throughout the year the solemnities, feasts, and memorials of the whole Church (General Roman Calendar); and also other special ones: such as that of the principal patron, the anniversary of the dedication of the Cathedral Church and other patrons and saints related to the diocese (its special calendar).

We publish here the decree of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments of November 10, 2012, by which it approves the special liturgical calendar of the Prelature of the Holy Cross and Opus Dei.
